We fire our handmade ceramics to 1236ºC (cone 6). The final ceramics are considered “mid-fired ceramics.” The result is a durable ceramic piece ready for daily use.
Each of our clay bodies and glazes we test to ensure they are performing properly so they last as expected.
What is it we do?
We test for hot and cold thermal shock, alkali and acid resistance. This involves cooling them in a freezer and heating in an oven, exposing them to acid and alkali, pouring boiling water on them and other exciting things.
