Visiting and working in our professional ceramics studio is a unique experience. We are a small creative space that produces artisan ceramics every day. The opportunity to try your hand at this craft tradition is a unique and memorable hands-on experience. We're excited to offer team building experiences.

We offer creative team building activities for corporate events, to both new and old teams as well as any group that may be interested.

Our Artisan Ceramics Facility
Taller Gingell is an artisan ceramics studio located in a historical building from 1892 in downtown Barcelona. We are a production ceramics studio with approximately 200 m2 space. Our space includes a production studio, offices, a ceramics showroom as well as a dedicated classroom and event space. You are welcome to visit in person, prior to the event.
We are able to host small group events up to 20 people and our facility can comfortably host groups up to 40 people for a larger corporate event on request.
Our ceramics studio is accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya as an Artisan Ceramics Workshop. Our products are marked D'Artesania Catalana as accredited by the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya (CCAM).
Are we located close to the Barcelona city centre?
Taller Gingell is an artisan ceramics studio located in downtown Barcelona. It's located in the Poble-sec neighborhood.
We're centrally located next to Montjuic Park, site of the 1992 olympic games. It's about a 12 minute walk from the city center and 10 minute walk to the Ramblas and Port of Barcelona.
How is the team building event structured?
Team building workshops are structured to give teams a unique opportunity to learn about artisan ceramics, while meeting your team building objectives and allowing teams to work toward a common goal. Workshops last between 2 to 3 hours.
(1) Experience Artisan Craft
We start with an introduction to our facilities and to basic ceramic processes.
(2) The Activity
Then we start the activity selected. We facilitate by explaining the activity objectives, and timeline. Throughout our activities, we facilitate to ensure success of each team member. The activity typically lasts between 1 1/2 to 2 hours based on your schedule.
(3) Team Review
If desired, when the activity is complete we facilitate a session debrief so team members can share their creations with the team. This end cap allows each team member to reflect on and articulate their experience.
(4) A Memorable Experience
At the end of the workshop the team will also have created a memorable ceramic piece. The product is then glazed and kiln fired. The final ceramic creations are ready about two weeks after the teambuilding activity and can be picked up at our ceramic studio or shipped via DHL Express to your location.

Your Team Facilitator
Wendy Gingell is a recognised ceramic artist and trained team event facilitator.
Wendy is a ceramicist whose work has been exhibited in Europe and North America, and exhibited at the Smithsonian, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the American Craft Council craft shows. Her work is part of permanent museums and private collections in North America and Europe. She has attended various international artist residencies for ceramics, including the International Ceramic Workshop, Kesckemet, Hungary; ProjectArt, Cummington, Massachusetts, United States; AIR Vallauris, Vallauris, France; and Medalta, Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.
She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and a Bachelor of Art History. She is a current member of the Association of Artists and Craftsmen of the FAD (A-FAD), the Associació Ceramistes de Catalunya (ACC) and the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA - USA). She is a ceramic artist accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya with an artisan card number 15,932.
She has professional training in working with and facilitating teams. For 5 years she facilitated training for Canada's national youth program, teaching and coordinating work training for groups of young adults. In addition, she also has training from the National Endowment for The Arts in the USA in teaching art. She currently is a full time ceramicist running her own workshop and artisan academy Taller Gingell. Taller Gingell is an accredited and licensed artisan arts academy.
What's included?
Everything. All instruction, materials, clay, firings and glazes included. Yes we provide aprons. The finished creations are available about two weeks after the event.
