Bring ceramic flowers to life during our hands-on Ceramic Flowers Painting Workshop! This 2,5-hour class offers a unique opportunity to paint and decorate pre-made ceramic flowers. You’ll explore the art of applying color to ceramics with a focus on color theory and underglaze techniques, bringing your ceramic flowers to life with vibrant designs.
Led by visiting instructors Emilia Rek (MFA) and Aleksandra Płonka (MFA), both experts in fine arts and ceramics, this workshop provides a supportive and engaging environment for you to explore your creativity. The small group setting ensures personalized attention and feedback throughout the class.

What you’ll learn and what we’ll do:
In this fun and interactive evening workshop, you’ll learn how to work with AMACO velvet underglazes and apply them to pre-made ceramic flowers. The workshop focuses on using color theory and design techniques to create stunning, personalized ceramic art pieces.
- Discover the basics of color theory and how it applies to ceramics
- Experiment with different underglaze colors to create unique visual effects
- Paint your pre-made ceramic flowers with vibrant, lasting designs
By the end of the workshop, your painted ceramic flowers will be ready for kiln firing. After a few weeks, you can pick up your finished pieces, fired and ready for display.

Workshop location
The workshop takes place at the artisan ceramics studio Taller Gingell, located in the Poble-sec neighborhood of Barcelona, close to Montjuïc Park. The studio offers a creative and welcoming space for you to paint and decorate your ceramic flowers.
