Dealer Expectations

Products
  • Stock at least one complete glaze, and one complete underglaze line; order Taller Gingell, Brent equipment, and Excel kilns in a timely fashion for customers.
  • Offer a "Complete Ceramics Package" to your customers, such as:
    • Retailer of clay, glaze, pottery equipment, and accessories sales.
    • Co-working studio offering workspaces, kiln rental and pottery wheels.
    • Teaching studio offering ceramics classes, equipment rental and learning classrooms.

Inventory and Ordering

  • Maintain the agreed initial and yearly minimum order volumes.
    • And: a minimum of 2 shipped orders per year.
  • Maintain a full line of each series of glaze/underglaze, offer and sell Taller Gingell and Brent equipment and supplies and maintain inventory to meet actual and anticipated customer demand.
  • Order in Standard Shipping Units (SSU) as noted on Taller Gingell order forms.
    • AMACO SSU, 6 units
    • Brent SSU, 1 each
    • Excel SSU, 1 each
    • Taller Gingell, 6 units

Sales Support

  • Prospect for new customers in your local market.
  • Host Taller Gingell and/or refer customers to product user workshops.
  • Participate in regional or local trade shows when possible.
  • Commit one staff person to attend online or in-person Taller Gingell product training when possible.
  • Maintain a public phone number, email address and website.
  • Provide Taller Gingell with the requested information on your local market to enable Taller Gingell to assist in market developments as needed.

Education

  • Sponsor, host, or refer customers to Taller Gingell workshops at any available locations.
  • Advertise Taller Gingell product workshops in the region from the distributor location or website.

Customer Service

  • Provide courteous, efficient service.
  • Offer product knowledge support to customers.
  • Establish a delivery system, either physically or through an available small package service.
  • Offer after-sales support to include glaze products and support with customer needs for kilns, wheel & equipment repair. Assist Taller Gingell in coordinating equipment repair. 
  • Serve as the first point of contact and support for technical glaze/underglaze product support.

Terms and Conditions

  • To abide by the terms and conditions set forth by Taller Gingell.

Marketing Support

  • Make available all sales support materials provided by Taller Gingell in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate with customers in a consistent fashion.

Location

  • Taller Gingell Dealers must be located in commercially zoned public access buildings.
  • Maintain regular store, studio or showroom hours full-time.
