Cosmos-06 Supernova Cream White

Discover the ethereal beauty of Supernova, a highly fluid creamy white translucent glaze with a crystalline surface reminiscent of frost on a window. The opalescent gloss glaze breaks slightly more cream than white, adding depth and complexity to your ceramic pieces.

  • Application: Apply 4 coats to Cone 04 bisqueware.
  • Firing: Performs best at cone 5, but can be fired to cone 6.
  •  Special Instructions: For best results, leave the inside or back of the form unglazed. This glaze can be fired with a normal medium-speed firing schedule, but a controlled cooling schedule can enhance crystal growth for a more stunning effect.
  • Runny Nature: This glaze is prone to running, so it’s recommended to stop the glaze about half an inch above the foot. Use a drip tray or soft bricks to protect kiln shelves.
  • Food Safety: Yes, Supernova is food safe. However, due to its durability, it is not recommended for surfaces that come into direct contact with food.

Elevate your ceramic art with the mesmerizing opalescent effects of Supernova glaze, ensuring careful application and firing for the best results.
