About your hosts
I enjoy introducing folks to ceramics, it’s fun. No skills needed, just an interest that’s all. Ceramics let me have some really neat experiences and I like sharing that with folks. Plus my ceramics studio has a disco ball.
I am a ceramic artist and I’ve shown my ceramics in Europe and North America; including at the Smithsonian, Philadelphia Museum of Art and American Craft Council craft shows. My ceramic work is part of permanent museum and private collections in North America and Europe.
I’ve attended international ceramic artist residencies including International Ceramics Workshop, Kesckemet, Hungary; Project Art, Cummington, Massachusetts, USA; A.I.R. Vallauris, Vallauris, France; and Medalta, Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History. I am a current member of the Associació Ceramistes de Catalunya and A-FAD Artists and Artisans’ Association.
My husband Eric and co-owner, who has no experience in ceramics, helps run our studio. Plus there’s Isabel - a troublesome labrador retriever podenco andaluz mix puppy jumping all over the place.

Where you'll be
It takes place in our ceramics workshop “Taller Gingell.” Located in the Poble Sec neighborhood downtown Barcelona. The building is from 1890 and prior to us the space was a bakery for generations. The small 25 m2 studio space is where we work every day making and selling ceramics. We’re 1 minute walk from Blai Street for pintxos, 5 minutes from the metro and 10 minutes from the Ramblas.
Up to 2 guests ages 18 and up can attend. Please note that we do have a dog that lives on the premises. Isabel is a 8 month old puppy and behaves as such. She is onsite but is not in the studio during the workshop.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have prior to your visit. We sincerely look forward to meeting you.
